Terms of Service
Last updated 4 September 2026
These Terms of Service (the Terms) govern your use of the Aptemi mobile app and website (together, Aptemi, we, orus). By creating an account or using Aptemi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Aptemi.
1. Who can use Aptemi
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use Aptemi on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for that business.
2. Your account
- One account belongs to one person. Keep your login details secure.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised.
3. What Aptemi does
Aptemi is a scheduling platform. Every account can browse businesses, follow them and book appointments for free. Any account can additionally turn on business tools to offer services, manage a calendar and take bookings, alone or as part of a business with staff.
Aptemi is not a party to the appointments booked through it. The agreement for a service is between the client and the business. We do not provide the services listed, do not employ businesses or their staff, and do not verify their qualifications, licences or insurance. Bookings, pricing, cancellation windows and no-show rules are set by each business. You are responsible for deciding whether a business or a client is right for you.
4. Business subscriptions
- Client features are free. Business tools require a paid subscription, billed once per business rather than per staff member, after a 30-day free trial that needs no payment method.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Payment, renewal, price changes, cancellation and refunds are handled by the relevant store, not by Aptemi. Manage or cancel your subscription in your store account.
- If a subscription lapses, the business tools stop working and the business no longer appears in search or by link. The client side of the same account is unaffected.
- Plan features and prices may change; we will give notice of material changes.
5. Bookings, cancellations and attendance
- A booking may confirm instantly or require the business to accept it, depending on its settings. A request that is not answered in time expires and the slot is released.
- Clients can cancel or reschedule within the window each business sets. Businesses may cancel at any time, and Aptemi will notify the other party.
- Businesses may mark a completed appointment as a no-show. At present this is informational only.
- There are no payments between clients and businesses through Aptemi. Any payment for a service is arranged directly between them.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law, or use Aptemi to arrange anything unlawful;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse other users;
- post content that is false, misleading, infringing or offensive;
- send spam or repeated unwanted booking requests;
- scrape, probe, overload or interfere with Aptemi, or try to access data you are not authorised to see;
- misuse the business tools, for example by listing services you cannot deliver.
7. Content you submit
You keep ownership of the content you add, such as your profile details, photos, service descriptions and booking notes. You grant Aptemi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and display that content for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to share it.
8. Blocks, reports and enforcement
- Businesses can block a client, which prevents that client from booking them.
- Any user can report a profile or a booking for review.
- We may remove content, or limit, suspend or terminate an account, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been broken or that doing so is necessary to protect users or the service. Serious cases may result in a ban that also cancels the account's future bookings and, for a one-person business, ends the associated subscription.
- Records of completed bookings and of reports may be retained after an account is banned, for audit and dispute purposes.
9. Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Settings. Deletion removes your login, anonymises your profile, removes your photos and cancels your future bookings, with the other party notified. Records of completed bookings are kept in anonymised form so the other party retains an accurate history. If you hold a business subscription, cancel it separately through your app store, as we cannot do that for you.
10. Disclaimers
Aptemi is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any business or client will meet your expectations. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of any user, or for the quality, safety or legality of any service booked through Aptemi.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Aptemi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Aptemi against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material we will give reasonable notice, for example in the app or by email. Continuing to use Aptemi after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed before launch], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you a non-waivable right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
